Polished pick with a bright bar, pub grub and a beer garden, plus guestrooms with free breakfast.
Absolutely loved today in this lovely pub. I took my family and friends here today and everything was perfect from the staff to the fabulous thai food. |It's the thai food that keeps us coming back at weekends here amongst the lovely relaxed atmosphere. This is a break from the norm visiting this lovely establishment. See you again for the next thai feast next week.
Popped in for a quick drink during a walk around the area on a Saturday at about 3pm. We had a drink on the front patio area, the sun was out and there was surprisingly little traffic driving past on the road. The car park was pretty full considering the pub was almost empty, I suspect the accommodation part of the pub was busy (I did check on Bookings, and there were no rooms available). The barman that served us was cheerful enough and the drinks prices were reasonable. For the location of this pub and offering accommodation (probably trades people), it has potential to do well if managed and run properly. This comment is not a reflection on the current people running it, because I've only been once for a quick passing drink
Thank you Rick||My two sons and I were delayed 10 hours in Paris during the world IT outage and we were exhausted so needed a place to stay when we landed in the UK that was going to be easy to travel home from. My husband was travelling from Marseille also so I didn't have his card details when I called the Emmbrook. I could tell the owner was cautious about reserving rooms with no payment but he still did it for us. We were given the door code and the keys were left in our rooms. ||To have that level of trust is so very appreciated and rare. ||The bed was really comfortable and the shower was so powerful. There was tea, coffee, toiletries and a TV and fan in the room.||It's not a 5* hotel obviously but I chose it because for PS150 we had TWO rooms and the teens had their own single beds. ||Oh and the breakfast was great! Far better than any chain hotel.||A good old fashioned hotel with a good old fashioned ethos. ||Thank you again |L
It's off the path, so to speak. It was quaint. It was quiet. It was friendly. The woman at the bar was extremely friendly. The food was good. We really like it. I have saved it on my favorites list.
Our second year staying at the Embrook Inn as a base to attend Ascott. The rooms whilst simply furnished are very clean, comfortable and the shower has real power which is great. The lane it's on is quiet and when we stayed we joined the locals for quiz night and on our return from ascot they had Morris Dancers. The pub itself which isn't attached is great. You feel at home, they do a great English breakfast and the evening food is great too. In short for the money it's a little gem and we will be back.
Very tired rooms but clean and suitable for a couple of nights stay. Kettle in the room but it was very small. Controllable heater in room which was needed as quilt/bed cover too thin and inadequate for the time of year. Bathroom tap did not turn off and dripped constantly through the night. The pub was adjacent to the accommodation but we didn't use it. Very good location for walking to bowling it cinema approx 15 mins away. Small shop at the end of the road. Friendly staff.
