A mystical forest filled with twinkling lights, The Enchanted Place is an immersive experience that transports visitors into a magical world. The forest is illuminated with thousands of lights that create a mesmerizing display, with paths winding through the trees and interactive installations that respond to sound and movement. As night falls, the forest comes alive with a spectacular light show, synchronized to music that resonates through the trees.
Peaceful spot sheltered by the trees of Gill's Lap Clump, with a bench to sit and survey the extensive views across the Weald. The memorial to A. A. Gill and E. H. Shepard is a fitting tribute to the author and illustrator of the Winnie The Pooh stories that made the Ashdown Forest famous. There's an Ordnance Survey triangulation through the trees, and it's an ideal location to make the focus of a walk.
I have rarely, if ever, seen a tree more in need of someone to climb it. I didn't and I'm saddened by what that means for both the tree and myself.
Very peaceful place with stunning views
Part of the winnie the pooh story. Great scenic views and enjoyable walk.
It's a crop of trees at the top of the hill. I think it's called Galleon's Leap in the Pooh books. But it certainly does feel enchanted. especially if you're 4 and have decided it is.
Free car park. A bit worn by the elements and when we visited difficult to step out of the car without stepping in mud or puddles. But as it is located in a forest that's not very surprising
Good for kids
