The English Distillery is England's oldest registered whisky distillery. Founded by the Nelstrop family in Norfolk in 2006, the distillery is still independent and creates multi-award-winning whisky from honest, local ingredients
Had a short visit the distillery. Pretty nice distillery in England. Recommend to take the tour and have a specific tasting whiskey. There are parking spots front of the distillery! There is a nice lunch bar in the distillery, so it's pretty convenient to have lunch, drinks at this bar after having the tour. Reasonable prices, spacious seating.
Fantastic day out. Took my mother in law and called in advance to let them know she had some mobility issues. They said no problem and arranged for chairs to be put at all stops. In the end she was unable to manage the tour so Chris gave her a private talk about what she would have seen. I then went with another Chris on the tour that was very informative. All the staff spoke with such passion. We did the 15th anniversary tour and had three samples and a glass to take home. Jenny in the shop was amazingly helpful and allowed us to sample some more of the whisky's we were thinking of buying. We the. Popped to the restaurant for a spot of lunch that was lovely and not too expensive. All in all a great tour of a small distillery, with great staff and some lovely whisky's too.
What a great couple of hours with a great friend! Chris was so informative and knowledgeable. The ultimate tour was fab, we had a tour of the Distillery and then tasted 6 whiskies with guidance. I am not a Whisky lover but i found it really good and got a liking for the less smoky ones. So, why only 4 stars? Well, i liked Chris but he could have been more enthusiastic. Just a minor aspect as his knowledge was amazing. The restaurant was also amazing, great atmosphere, great food, great service. You will be tempted by the shop!
Massive shout out to Sandie and max. My very curious daughter asked Sandie some questions and not only did she answer them all but went 100% above and beyond, she hasn't stopped talking about how lovely Sandie was all afternoon! Look out because she now wants to be a distiller like max when she's a grown up. Wonderful wonderful people
We had the anniversary tour today and loved it. Friendly welcoming staff, clean, comfortable surroundings. Our guide was enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable. A fascinating tour ending in a very enjoyable tasting. I would recommend this, even to those who don't drink whiskey. Good selection of products in the shop.
Genuinely; a highlight of the year. This experience will be spoken of for years to come. An engaging and entertaining tour around England's foremost distillery. Chris and Max did a fantastic job of ensuring that no detail was left behind, with a personable and charming glint. A fantastic way to spend a Saturday and a real insight to our British produce!
