A 10-meter-tall wooden chair sculpture situated in the town center of Woking, Surrey, designed by artist Willard Wigan in 1990, serving as a popular landmark and photo opportunity.
As advertised this is a very large wooden chair courtesy of the London Olympics. There are foot holds carved in the side so ascending this behemoth isn't as challenging as it looks. You can also jump down safely from the seat as there is a soft surface below. Fun for all the family.
this place has been an absolute icon for me and my friend group to return and take photos periodically over the last 10+ years of my life, i love this chair, and im currently working on pushing our relationship to the next stage, wish me luck guys
Lovely outdoor parkland with canal nearby as well. Old gravel pits make for interesting circular walks, with plenty of wildlife to see. If you walk towards Fisher's Green, there is a cafe, but not sure of opening hours, so check first! You have to pay to park, but some are free for first hour, but check those Signs to avoid a fine!
Interesting wood sculpture of a giant chair. You can climb the chair through the small steps (more like cuts made in the wooden structure) in the right side. The view from the top is not very great. But it is a good photo-spot.
Nice walk for whole family, kids love this place
Lovely wooden giant chair, lea valley.
