The Great Meadow is a picturesque open space in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire. This 14-acre meadow is a tranquil oasis, teeming with wildflowers, grasses, and wildlife. The meadow is crisscrossed by winding paths, inviting visitors to explore and take in the serene atmosphere. On a clear day, the meadow offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, with the Chiltern Hills rolling out towards the horizon. The Great Meadow is a haven for nature lovers, walkers, and those seeking a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Great area to walk around. Will go back.
Great place to take your dog. The parish council has a no poo picking policy as this is natural fertiliser for the grass so there's no need to bring any poo bags. I usually bring my dog here under the cover of darkness as the moonlight helps his bowel movements. If you come here during daylights hours so your dog can do his/her ablutions don't be put off by the shouting residents, they're merely startled and have nothing better to do. Blessings
Went to a car show here, well organised and a good selection of vehicles, there is a cafe and toilets on site with reasonable prices although very limited food
Great space, however it is mistreated by dog walkers leaving poo. Disgusting behaviour. When meadow lark is on, it's a nice day out for the family
Not much of a walk. Also lot's of weirdo's wandering round the place constantly but this village is full of them.
Nice place to sit on the grass and have a rest .Quiet and lovely area
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
