It's well worth seeking out this treasure in the southern part Surrey. You'll get a friendly welcome and a Sculpture Walk pack which guides you along the lovely paths through the woodland and by the lakes and ponds. It's fun seeking out all the art works here - some of which are so perfectly sited in the beautiful natural landscape. I've been a couple of times now and have meandered around for a couple of hours enjoying the peace and quiet of the garden. Visitor numbers are limited so you must book tickets in advance. The paths take you up and down though the garden-scape so those with restricted mobility might not get to see everything. There is no cafe here so either bring a picnic and use the picnic tables or visit one of the local pubs (details are provided on the website and in the Sculpture Pack).
Beautifully landscaped grounds and some excellent sculpture (almost all of which is for sale if you have deep pockets). The attention to detail throughout is what really makes it sing - each sculpture is thoughtfully positioned, often with clever offsetting between an element of the sculpture and the garden / landscape. A very friendly, warm welcome too. Many thanks, I look forward to coming back!
We love this wild wooded garden and the interesting sculptures dotted around it. So peaceful that you soon recharge your batteries. Take a picnic and chill out for an hour or two.
Honestly WOW! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't this. A beautiful walk where nature meets art. The landscape itself was incredible and the sculptures were fantastic. Attached are photos of my favourites. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone that's wanting to do something a bit different.
