Desperate for something to do on a rainy day we drove an hour to get here after my teenage daughter decided she wanted to see a Highland cow!! Well we saw, fed and petted the cows. They were very friendly and cute. They especially like you if you give them some food (purchased from shop for PS1) It was quite busy here but everyone was polite. Be warned coaches stop here so you may find yourself surrounded by 100 people all of a sudden! Parking is limited and if you can avoid parking in the spaces where the cows are add people will scrape and lean on your car. There is a shop and cafe here.
There were only 3 cows when we visited but you can go right up to their fence and see them. If you want their attention you will need to feed them. You can buy food to feed the cows in the shop for just 1 pound.
Hamish- Highland cows 3 highland cows to feed and stroke. While yoi can order food from the cafe area or pick up some holiday gifts or spoil yourself in the shop. Toilets are also available for free at this cat park. Carpark also holds coach stops and mini buses so plenty of room.
he Highland is a Scottish breed of rustic cattle. It originated in the Scottish Highlands and the Western Islands of Scotland and has long horns and a long shaggy coat. It is a hardy breed, able to withstand the intemperate conditions in the region
This is was great! Stop by if you're in the area. You can purchase a bag of "Highland Cow food" and feed them. The gift shop is wonderful and fairly priced. The coffee shop was also fantastic. It's well worth a visit!
Beautiful walk along a country road. Sheep, longhorn cattle and several Highland Coos. They didn't come very close to the road so if you're looking for a closer more intimate connection, this isn't it. Well worth the walk though.
