The Japanese Garden in Cornwall provides an authentic Japanese garden design in an idyllic Cornish setting. Set in approximately 1 acre the garden is a fusion of East meets West with a selection of ornamental plant varieties making this a unique horticultural place to visit when in Cornwall. Take a stroll amongst the spectacular Japanese maples, mature azaleas and rhododendrons, grasses and bamboo grove. Built as a meditative garden it is the perfect space where one can calm the mind & let go of unwanted stress through contemplation & reflection.
Finally got to visit and I wasn't disappointed. Tranquil gardens with good shade but the sun shines through to highlight all the beautiful foliage and moss, the calming koi pond and the zen garden. Some impressive, authentic stone lanterns and well established trees and moss gardens. I got there early and had the place to myself for a while which was even more relaxing. Great choice of gifts in the shop too, statues, stone lanterns and bonsai... I bought one, hopefully I can master the art! I'll definitely visit again when I'm back in the area.
St. Mawgan, Cornwall. A hidden gem of peace and tranquility, certainly one not to be missed. Spent 2-3 hours exploring this delightful place. The extensive research and thoughtful layout of the Japanese Garden was certainly evident! Well worth the PS6 entry fee (PS5 for concessions). Will certainly visit again!
A beautiful Japanese garden in the heart of a Cornish village. It is a love a tranquil place to visit. We took about an hour and a half to go round and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. There is a great Bonsai shop here. Parking can be difficult at busy times. I highly recommend this to anybody.
I absolutely love visiting The Japanese Garden's when I am in the Cornwall area, so peaceful & a diverse range of plants & sensory experience. It's also very fun & interactive.
