2 theatres plus galleries with works by LS Lowry and modern artists in a landmark quayside building.
The approach is impressive, makes you feel curious. Upon arrival we were met with friendly staff. Building is beautiful, the choices what to do too much for one visit. We went to see Sweeney Todd, thanks to Rick the Duty Manager. Every member of staff we met was friendly, smiled, was more than happy to chat (if they had the time). They all were proud of the Lowry. To us, that's all down to what must be superb management. It was a great, memorable visit.
Gorgeous venue. So different to how I remember it from visiting as a kid. The revamp looks amazing, everything feels fresh and clean. No sound issues. The bar is great and some seats even offer views of the quay. Drinks at the bar are a reasonable price and not too different from the other drink venues outside. Overall well worth a visit.
An excellent modern theatre with great sightlines to the stage. The building is a monument to the turn of the millennium - it's fantastic to see it untouched. The colours! The shapes! It's a throwback to a very specific moment in time!
Been a couple of times recently. The theatre is modern with cumfy seats and plenty of room for getting in and out. I'm 198cm and there's enough leg room for me. The theatre sits alongside the Lowry complex on Salford Quays. There's plenty of parking available in the multi story, it takes ages to get out so make sure any little ones have had a wee before trying if you've been to a popular show. The sound in the theatre is good, the toilets are good, the concessions are not too bad. Zero complaints from me here.
Good show but the lady next to my friend let her daughter play on her phone throughout the show. When confronted she got abuse all through the show, SIX, no attendants around to sort the issue . These people need removing as it spoils the show for others. I did not see or would of sorted it out
First visit. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous. Very modern with good facilities. It was a great venue and a nice size for a concert. Saw the amazing Charles Esten. As it was a Monday, the art gallery was closed, so we are planning to return to see the Lowry collection.
