The Meadows in Tavistock is a beautiful, large, grassy park with an excellent children's play area and fenced in toddlers area. There is plenty of good quality play equipment and recently rubber matting was laid so it is extra safe with no more mud! There is a canal on one side where you can feed the ducks and there is a lovely walk along the river Tavy into the town centre on the other side. There is a small cafe (Trudy Scrumptious) for drinks, toasties, home made ice cream and cake etc that is open 11am to 4pm from April to September long as it isn't raining heavily. Parking is nearby at Meadowlands Swimming pool, or in the main carpark next to it you can park all day for PS2.50. Postcode for sat nav is PL19 8SP
