The Meadows Farm Village is an interactive animal experience for all the family to enjoy. We welcome couples and friend groups too, so we are not just for children. Our Farm village can be booked for parties, groups and school visits and we can also offer exclusive use to our whole experience! We are situated on Gypsy Lane, Groeswen, Cardiff CF15 7UN. We specialise in offering a unique experience to interact with a mixture of farm, zoo and exotic animals. Our animal family includes meerkats, capybara, armadillo, skunks, porcupines, prairie dogs, wallabies, reindeer, rabbits, guinea pigs, turkeys, chickens, ducks, peafowl, geese, swans, donkeys, alpacas, horses, cows, sheep, micro pigs, pygmy goats, emu and so much more!
I've been in a depression pit for a while, and being around animals/in nature always cheers me up. This is exactly what I needed today. And at PS10 entry per adult on a weekend, I am really grateful for my first visit of many. It was quiet, serene, and I just forgot about everything else. I was so happy to be able to pet the rabbits as well, for FREE! Thank you for running such a lovely place at a very affordable price
Wonderful fun place, clearly lots of care given to ensure animals are happy. Lovely to spend a few hours wandering and enjoying meeting the animals. Great welcoming team. Excellent for families, couples people of all ages. Surprised this place isn't better known. Lovely new cafe restaurant here too. Great value for money overall and a very nice afternoon.
Lovely place, animals enclosures are clean and a good size, lots of space for kids to run around safely, and the cafe was modern and a good size. We got there early so no queue to get in. As you went in there was a free creepy crawly meet where you could hold spiders or cockroaches as you went in, the chap in charge of this was really nice. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and professional. Car park isn't huge but a good indicator of whether you'll be able to get in as I understand they do have a maximum capacity. Toilets are small dark porta-loos, but clean. I saw one accessible toilet as you went in. Hand wash facilities all over the park are good.
Last week we held our engagement party in the event tent. We had the best night celebrating with friends and family. The staff made the night perfect. We had a Hawaiian theme and they went with it, including dressed the goats who came to visit us with garlands. We had our own special cocktail made, we were given time to decorate as we wanted. All our guests were also given some time to walk around the farm. The place had great indoor and outdoor space. We had approx 90 guests and it managed to accommodate perfectly. Thank you so much to Lucy and the team! It was also so lovely to see the passion from the staff when talking about their animals.
Where do I start. Amazing experience Brodey was the 1st class. So knowledgeable and had great interactions with young and the young at heart. The feeding experience and close up meetings with the animals was just the best. Everyone was so happy and welcoming which is want you want on a day out. Food drinks and ice cream were included in our package. Great deal for the kids as it unlimited slushy. Grounds were perfect and nice to walk around. Plenty of seating and hand washing stations about. It's a definite gem of a must visit place
We attended an event hosted at Meadows but went to view the animals before the event so we didn't have to rush. They have a lot of ground to cover and a variety of animals enjoying the sunshine and the rain. Inside was so much bigger than I expected the pictures don't do the venue justice. We ordered pizza with a side of chips and although we shared it was still filling !. On our visit the only thing I had concerns about were the portable toilets next to the cafe, it was too cramped to move with a coat on (it was raining during our visit) and we had a person with mobility difficulties who much preferred the slightly more spacious disabled portable toilet but that was on the far side of the park.
