130m long Slip and Slide in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Loads of watery goodness for the whole family
We LOVED our hour at Slip and Slide. Ages 9 to 49 years old enjoyed it equally! Two adults together go very fast!
Great fun for kids of all ages. We visited on a warm and sunny day which was great. Although this would still be a fun experience in the rain I suspect it might get a little chilly waiting on the steps for another turn. The area around the base of the slide was muddy, which is not unexpected. Nor does this cause a problem, except to the unwary; there were many muddy feet traipsing up the hill to the top of the slides. Overall, definitely an experience we enjoyed and we'll definitely return.
This is the second year we've visited and this year was a complete disappointing waste of money. The queue to actually get down the slide is ridiculous so the amount of times you can use the slide is limited. One family were complaining they got to use the slide 3 times in the session. Booking was 1-2pm and were told the session had ended at 1:50pm. Not enough seating, especially in the shade as people put their things on the tables and use the activity. The carpark is far smaller than last time, repeatedly saw people nudging others cars to get in and out of spaces. No hot drinks available. Will not return if I'd like to be ripped off in the sun I'll find a fairground.
The Mega Slip and Slide: A Thrilling Adventure for Kids of All Ages!! I took my 6-year-old son to the Mega Slip and Slide yesterday, and we had a blast! The slide is 110 meters long, and it's made of a super-slippery material that makes you go really fast. We could go down together in a double ring, or individually on our own rings. It was so much fun to see the look on my son's face as he flew down the slide. He laughed and screamed the whole way down. The staff at the Mega Slip and Slide were really friendly and helpful. They made sure that we were safe at all times, and they were always there to help us get back up the hill after each slide. The Mega Slip and Slide is a great place to take kids of all ages. It's a lot of fun, and it's a great way to cool off on a hot day. I'm not sure if it was the excitement of the slide, or the fact that we had to climb up the hill afterwards, but my son slept like a log last night. I think he's ready to go back again tomorrow!
So we went on one of the hottest days ever in the UK - it was blistering! There was inadequate cover for spectators, of which there were many when we were there. The generator packed up, which meant the slide deflated and the water pump stopped, immediately rendering the ride unusable. After ten minutes of trying to fix it and standing around in the blazing sun, the session was cancelled and full refunds given, which was excellent customer service. Then, almost immediately an engineer arrived and got the generator running. The organisers allowed us back on to use the test of our time for free - again excellent customer service. Ignoring the obvious issues, I'm not sure we would pay to go again - it has limited appeal once you've been down a few times.
Only had to wait at the start to get the safety briefing and then once your on the slide it was free flowing only had to wait like a up to a minute at the top at times
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Toilets
Restaurant
Getting tickets in advance recommended
Good for kids
