We are the only Model Village in the UK that represents it's own home in 1/9th scale, and recognised in 2013 by English Heritage as qualifying for Grade II Listed status - giving the attraction protection from any changes as the village accurately reflects life as it was in the 1930's when it was first built.
Model Village is a charming destination with detailed miniature replicas that capture the essence of English countryside life. The craftsmanship is impressive, and it's fascinating to see the tiny towns and landscapes. However, our visit was marred by the large crowds, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the displays. The narrow pathways became congested, and finding a good viewing spot was a challenge. While the attraction is worth a visit, I would recommend going during off-peak hours to enjoy the experience more comfortably.
Nice little attraction, affordable for the family and really enjoyable for both kids and adults! There were quite a lot of 'buildings' under construction but they still looked great regardless. The 'river' also wasn't working due to a leakage, but this would have been a nice touch to the model village! Overall we had a great time and nice experience!
Too many people were left in. It is a small area and it got a bit too much. We were there for less than 5 minutes. The building definitely needs some TLC. You can see inside the church and it's very messy. Money just thrown into it. I was really looking forward to coming here as the website makes it out to be a beautiful little place. But it just wasn't. I think they need to limit the amount of people that go in. A big refresh on the buildings and perhaps add a story to the journey around. Like finding a rabbit or something. And also some photo opportunities. Like perhaps a background board. There are so many artists that love a challenge maybe reach out and put up an advert to see if they can volunteer sprucing up the place. I would love to come here again. But not in the state it is now. Just a bit disappointing given that it is in such a beautiful little village.
Yes it's small but I don't think it's that expensive for an hour of fun. Lots of very pretty vistas and very neatly clipped and maintained trees add to the atmosphere. Go early as it struggles to soak up coach loads of tourists.
Model village with serious history about it, excellent model of the village made from authentic cotswolds brick. Nicely maintained. My only complaint on our visit on Sunday was the lady on entry taking payment was a bit abrupt with guest and sharp, not a single smile or any idea how to be polite and starred out the window at everyone as they walked round just a little weird. Price at PS4.50 per adult for something that takes around 20 minutes to look at, is not value for money. PS2.50 at most, get more people in, I wouldn't visit again as not enough to keep you coming back, especially when the welcome is poor.
We got here right at opening and had the whole area to ourselves for about 10mins. Then within the hour more people coming in. I felt like a giant compared to the homes. Nice attention to detail down to the small doggies in some of the houses.
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
