The museum is situated in an 18th century house in the heart of Woodstock, with a purpose-built gallery hosting changing exhibitions. Modern extensions house reception, shop, and cafe with in and outdoor seating providing views across the large and well-stocked garden. Following the lifting of COVID restrictions we have gradually reintroduced the facilities withdrawn during the pandemic, including gallery interactives and children's trails. We have recently re-opened the Dinosaur Gallery and the Learning Centre will be open from 10 August.
I stopped by this museum by curiosity and it was a nice surprise. Everything is free except for the soldier part which can be accessible with a Blenheim pass. The museum talks about the Oxforshire with some historical objects on display. It is very interesting and peaceful. Also the dinosaur garden is fun to do and impressive to see the real dinosaur paws fossils. It was a bit warm to explore the upstairs in detail due to the heat so I will come back again someday.
What a find. Just in Woodstock, not far from the village entrance to Blenheim. 3 levels of interesting items and local information. It was very well laid out. Friendly staff and free . At the back of the museum, there is a quiet cafe with homemade food items overlooking an open grass area. Tea and bakewell cookies so good we bought 2 more at PS2.50 each to take with us . Fabulous
9 indoor mini golf holes next to the Battersea power station. Surrounded by plenty of alcoholic offerings this is fun for kids in the day and a good drinking event for parties in the evening,
First time visiting, and I don't know why I've not been before. My 2yr old really enjoyed looking at the usual things, and I loved the interactive room for children too. We stopped to have lunch in the cafe, which was very very reasonable and the food was very good. Will definitely be back.
Nine of us popped into the museum cafe on Saturday, and were met with a warm and friendly welcome. The gardens were a lovely spot for our lunch there, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. A quiet and cool sanctuary away from the bustle, and heat of the High Street. on what was one of the hottest days of the year.
The first thing that I noticed when I walked in was the massive amount of water in the bottom of the pot and it had a lot of drainage holes in it so it wasn't really draining the crust out of the entire plant but I just decided to throw the whole packet of drainage into a bowl of soil that was filled with a bunch of little plastic containers. The soil was tasty
