Footpaths traverse this nature preserve on a peninsula with a lighthouse & sweeping water views.
Port Isaac in Cornwall is better known as Portwenn from TVs Doc Martin, if you are a fan of the show you will not be disappointed. There are hotels, restaurants and of course the famous pharmacy which is now a souvenir shop.
We had a wonderful, strenuous walk from Charlestown to Pentewan. There were some really quite steep sections which were challenging for us but extremely satisfying; we have named it 'The Rollercoaster Path'! We then bussed to Mevagissey (you could continue on the path but we needed to stop), had coffee & pancakes at Shesells (5) on the harbour, took the boat to Fowey (tea & scones), then bus back to the start. It was a great day to remember - highly recommend all the above!
Stunning beach at Harlyn Bay (dog friendly). Gorgeous food but a little pricey but worth it as a treat. Quite a walk to toilets.
Love it, it is my quiet place, I just love the serenity of the sea. Especially when it's this calm and flat. Very unusually flat.
Beautiful gardens, stunning views and lovely beach at the end. PS48 for a family is a little high, but it does justify it
Gorgeous wetland and estuary nature reserve, with a lush, almost tropical feel.
