A vast, crescent-shaped beach of golden sand, surrounded by rugged hills and towering cliffs, where the sound of the waves crashing against the shore creates a soothing melody, and the cries of seabirds fill the air, with the opportunity to spot dolphins, porpoises, and whales in the distance.
Beautiful turquoise waters, even at high tide there's abit of beach left, so you can stay there all day. Gets the waves
It's a wonderful sea beach. Just 15 min driving from Lerwick city. All group of people can enjoy the environment.
Beautiful little beach. Get there on the T1 sightseeing bus every Sunday in summer. Costs 15 quid and you can hop on hop off doing as many circuits as you want.
Large enough carpark at the edge of the road. Toilet facilities also within the carpark. A short walk down a well maintained path and gates will bring you to the beach, with some easy stepping down onto the sandy beach. Beautiful sandy beach and clean waters. You can walk along the clifff tops, not much of a cliff but a grassy section which will lead you to a smaller rockier beach. Would be amazing on a hot sunny day. Worth a visit
