In 1932 George V commissioned Eric Savill to create a very special Woodland Garden inside Windsor Great Park. Since its creation, The Savill Garden has been an inspiration for all and a vision of gardening excellence. Enjoyed by everyone, from dedicated horticulturists to those who just want to spend a relaxing day out with family or friends
We've visited this lovely place many times. This time we visited the restaurant and the adventure park. Absolutely stunning place! Very reasonable and high quality fresh food. The adventure park was PS56 for 2 adults and 2 children (your parking is validated when you pay so the car park is free) highly recommend going either on the first session or last session of the day as it's not that busy. Kids loved it, we loved it. Excellent day!
Excellent venue with acres of varied plants, shrubs and trees. A lot of walking if you want to see it all, (about 5 miles - 8 km). Great restaurant and shop in a oak roofed centre. Oak was harvested from the garden itself to make it truly recyclable! Beautiful toilets are a sight to behold.
My family holds an annual membership at Savill Garden, which is common among locals due to the high parking fees. The car park is spacious, secure, and always has available spots. I entered for free as a guest, but the entrance fee is PS16.50 per person, which is pricey. The garden is beautiful, offering a perfect place to relax and recharge. For city dwellers like me, the peace and tranquillity is appreciated. The entrance has high security, and members receive a 10% discount at the gift shop, which has some great items. The cafe and restaurant are separate; if you want a snack, the cafe is excellent and offers outdoor seating in the Garden Centre. Savill Garden is peaceful and blissful, but considering the cost for parking and entrance, I believe the Royal Estate should offer free access.
I took my 2 grandchildren to the Adventure Play Park, 9 year old boy and 8 year old girl and they both had a wonderful time and enjoyed it so much. Booked online a 2 hour session and arrived 10 minutes before our time slot. Very well organised with wristbands given out in the queue for entry so that didn't eat into play time. Cafe in the play area and seats to watch although everything accessible for adults. Highly recommend but be aware it did cost me PS44.00 but parking was included.
Went on a coach trip with Magic Moments. Who organised our day. Lovely gardens Glad there were seats in the shade as it was the hottest day and much needed. The cafe were amazing with the world's tech problem only able to use cash. The queue was very long. Only thing to complain about is they need to clean tables as there were dirty items on tables. We got told to leave on tables. Which wasnt a great idea.
