This 18th-century garden, hidden from public view for over 80 years, has been restored to its former glory. Wander through the tranquil gardens, exploring the winding paths, serene lakes, and vibrant flowerbeds. Discover the charming follies, including a thatched-roof cottage, a Gothic-inspired ruin, and a picturesque bridge. The garden's romantic atmosphere is perfect for relaxation and contemplation.
I love this little park. It's a little patch of calm and quiet. The dog walkers and photographers - of which there are many - always give a friendly greeting. It's full of snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells in the spring. You can still see the remains of the walled kitchen garden - which was heated in its day for grapevines, and the gardener's wheelbarrow path. Friends of the Park work to keep it in shape - sometimes a thankless task, I think. Their efforts are appreciated and long may they continue.
The park really needs a revamp its falling appart and full of rubbish, the pond needs cleaning out but it's so full of nature and beautiful to take your dog on a little walk or for a nice stroll if you can over look the man made mess, there is a walled garden that has some nice herbs and a few fruits like gooseberrys you you can pic.
