A pedestrian shopping street in the heart of Cambridge, lined with a mix of high-street brands, independent boutiques, and historic colleges, featuring a vibrant atmosphere, street performers, and a variety of restaurants, cafes, and pubs.
Long shingle strip leading out into the sea, affording good views of Tankerton and Whitstable for those who walk out. Check the tide times if you want to walk out on The Street - it disappears completely at high tide.
Incredible experience! Visit during high tide and then walk at low tide to get the full WOW factor.
Really unusual land formation that reaches out about 1/2 mile into the sea. It also makes an ideal and safe place for a swim
Lovely area pebble beach but it's very nice and very clean and tidy along the beach front We had a beautiful day out
Was there at sunrise, which coincided with a pretty low tide, and it's actually very beautiful and, I have to say, deceptively hazardous to the unwary. If you are planning to walk upon the exposed "Street" please please please be aware that the tide turns exceptionally quick and the water either side of it is, although classed as shallow, is pretty deep in human terms and the currents are strong! As long as you are careful, this is a remarkable feature.
The beach looks really clean, was disappointed as it was high tide and we didn't get to see the path in the water. Hopefully I have better luck next time.
Good for kids
