I stayed here when I was walking the South Downs Way last week. It is in an ideal place on the route, and I found it perfect for a one-night stay. Getting in is contactless and very efficient, the single room I had was very comfortable; the facilities are modern; and the breakfast is great. Sarah, the manager, was also a top lady to meet and looked after me well. It was the best stay during my five-day hike, and I have no hesitation in recommending this place to others.
Juts went for a wondered on a road trip. Very beautiful and great work they are doing. Was a very positive surprise to find out they do funerals and graveyard by planting trees. Very respectfully beautiful and soul touching. Keep up with the great work!
Wonderful food, every time. Quiche last visit, which i really wanted again, but forced myself to try something different. Had the burrito, and was not disappointed!! Was Delicious. My partner had the burger which was very tasty. We sat at an outside table with the dog, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. All vegetarian but didnt miss meat one bit !! 10/10
I stayed here when walking the SDW. Perfect location as right on the route. Extremely friendly staff run the B&B. Everyone I met at this unique site were friendly and welcoming. Beautiful location, perfect for bird watching and relaxing. Spotlessly clean room. Very comfortable bed. It would get 5* but it has no option in house for an evening meal. You can order a takeaway. There is a lovely cafe on site but that closes at 4pm. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here on day one of the south downs way. We stayed in the pitches bramble and forget me not. This campsite is an absolute must when planning your sdw itinerary. Quiet, respectful campers, beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities. I'll be visiting here again this summer for a camp to take it in fully.
Have taken three funeral services here in this beautiful place. It was the first time I have had the pleasure of seeing the beautiful horse which my friend requested to take her to the spot that she chose with me 5 yrs previously. Staff here are amazing and make sure that those of us who are not as supple got taken to the spot chosen in a car. It's a downhill track into the beautiful woodland and a perfect place to just go for a walk.
