Fabulous place with an exceptional collection of period art and furniture... tea room with the tastiest home made cakes!
We spent a most enjoyable Saturday afternoon at Tabley House Stately Home and tea rooms. The house and chapel are beautiful and rich in history and are set in a lovely landscape. The guides are very knowledgable and convey their knowledge with gentle enthusiasm and great good humour. Refreshments in the tea rooms concluded a thoroughly enjoyable visit. An absolute gem - highly recommended.
A lovely walk through the house, beautiful paintings, knowledgeable guides. Well worth a visit.
A small area of the stately home is accessible to the public for a fee. The rest of the house is a retirement home. There is a painting of the house and grounds by JW Turner that stands out from the rest of those on show. The cafe, through the Chapel, offers home-made produce that is not expensive . Ample car parking. Volunteers have a wealth of knowledge about the former family who lived there.
Visited the tea rooms for the first time. Wonderful food, beautiful surroundings. Nothing too much trouble, highly recommend.
Only visited the tea rooms. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.... However the place needed a real clean and the afternoon tea was very disappointing. The fireplace was amazing!
