Highly recommended. We visited the garden as part of a group guided by Chris. The history and development of the garden was fascinating even more interesting is the story of Chris and Karen's 20 years of dedication to restoring and reviving the garden for current and future generations. It has clearly become a labour of love they've invested their own time and money. There are information boards if you are just visiting and also lots of fascinating information on the website.
Lovely walk through the walled gardens. Loads of fruit trees and peaceful. Kids enjoyed the Tunnel. Highly recommend a visit!
Lovely garden. Great information on the history and how things were and worked. The fact there was a heated wall blew my mind Never seen that before. It is PS5 entry but is complimentary cup of tea or coffee with a biscuit of you choose or an ice-cream. There is also some soft drinks or water in the fridge. It is privately owned so it's not pay of national trust but I would recommend doing it at least once. I can't wait to see it next year. Only open certain times of the year. Can't remember when it opens up but closes in September.
Its not worth a fiver, although I suppose they have to make money....unless you're friends with the person on the gate and you get let in for free as we witnessed when we were there. One of the oppos let 4 people in for free whilst we had to pay
Really enjoyed seeing the walled garden in addition to Croome Park NT. Beautifully restored by the owners over the years. Limited opening days from April. Accessible by wheelchair though it is on a slope.
wow, even if you have the slightest interest in gardening I'm sure you will be amazed at this walled garden and what the owners have done over the last 20years, it's more than fruit/flowers growing, it's got history including a hot wall and tunnels you can explore. self service Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for a donation, the owners are obviously very knowledgeable and more than willing to explain anything, today they were selling fruit/veg and even eggs all from within the garden.
