Went to The War Memorial Park to attend the Basingstoke Festival of Transport on the 19th May, but the park itself is huge and seems to be well kept. Lots of greenery and two parks, one designed for younger children whilst the other is appears to be designed for older children both look well maintained and everything seems to be there and worked. Perfect place to take your pooch and have a picnic! There is plenty of room for ball games, too.
This Park is amazing. I am looking to do every bit of it, which will take some time. I am enjoying exploring this Park. It is worth a visit.

I was at a CRUK event, very lovely park. Useful road access, well kept grass.
Really enjoyed this Park and hope that it is appreciated by everyone who uses it as it is a lovely place which is very much a hidden gem of Basingstoke. Great mix of ancient trees, grassland, plants and play equipment for the kids. The aviary was really nice to see as well, just a nice place to be. Good to see the sports pitches being used for Sunday League Football as well.
