The Waterfront at Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne is an ideal location for the whole family to enjoy a day out. The Waterfront has an impressive range of cafes, restaurants and bars, boat tours and charters. You can also find entertainment and family friendly events, including a pop-up artisan market, an urban beach and an outdoor climbing wall, will also take place in 2019.
This area is very local to me, so I visit frequently. Lovely walks around the harbour, good choice of restaurants and bars plus an indoors crazy golf area.
I have to five star this place honestly, the 4 seasons restaurant is absolutely amazing I had the t bone steak with chunky chips & tomatoes, with a small pot of hot garlic butter followed by strawberry cheesecake with cream , it was awesome & I have to say the t bone steak was the best steak I'd ever had absolutely beautiful. Great staff just brilliant
Free carpark right in the marina and impressive quality restaurants with great views of the marina if your feeling homesick for your seaside village back home. Have only tried the Italian Pablo's restaurant so far and I was very impressed, they know how to make a real pizza. Seafood and muscles were very fresh and cooked correctly which is rare. Highly recommended, will try the Thai restaurant next time. Although difficult to find out, the marina does have large free parking without limit as far as I can tell. Entrance is via the street Asda is on, not the marina entrance.
Love this place so much to see and do Harvester packed lovely wall round the harbour see the sea locks in action.
we loved it. Totally man made and very impressive. The site actually features multiple harbours, with lifting walkways across each. As a visitor you can walk around most of it, look at the boats and fish, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the modern architecture. There are a number of restaurants, bars and shops to visit. The 24hour manned double lock gates keep the sea at bay and ensure the place does not entirely flood at high tide, it's quite a feat. Outside of the lock gates, sea side, we saw seals each time we visited. One even flopped up onto a sand back in front of us. Amazing.
Beautiful marina setting. Plenty of choice for food. I've visited most of the restaurants over the years and have found the staff in every one very pleasant and helpful. Well worth a visit if you're in Eastbourne.
