We had a lovely stay at The Wensleydale Experience. Tim was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The yurt itself was very nice, with a clean and comfy bed, and the private hot tub was a treat. The site is very well located for lots of local attractions like the Creamery, Aysgarth Falls and Forbidden Corner. We stayed in Larch which had amazing views of the Dales and was directly opposite Bolton Castle. I'd recommend taking an eye mask if natural light wakes you in the morning. I would highly recommend staying here and will be returning.
We had an fantastic stay at the Wensleydale Experience. We stayed for the weekend in Elder yurt which was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the yurt across the valley towards Bolton Castle is amazing, and our kids loved talking to cows as they wandered up to the fence. The hot tub was an added bonus and it was lovely to have it warm and ready to use as soon as we arrived. We did the farm tour on Saturday morning which our kids really enjoyed. Tim is a great host, nothing is too much trouble and he made us feel welcome and at home as soon we arrived. We will definitely be back in the near future.
Myself and my partner had a much needed trip away at the Wensleydale Experience staying in a wonderful Yurt. Tim and his team went to great lengths to make our stay extra special. Very comfy bed! Even though there are a couple of other yurts on site, it felt very private and peaceful. Tim also had some great recommendations for local walks - the local countryside and waterfalls are truly beautiful. Breakfast at the onsite Berry's Cafe fuelled us well for our walking. We look forward to returning in the future.
Girlfriend brought me here for the weekend for my birthday and we both had an amazing time. The yurt was really spacious and had everything we needed in there, the bed and bedding were really comfortable and with the wood burner and fairy lights on the room felt really cosy. The host Tim was brilliant, he let us check in earlier and was really attentive. We had the farm tour with him on our first morning, it was really informative and Tim does a great job of showing you around all the animals, he is a wealth of knowledge and had a really good sense of humour. He gave us some great recommendations for local walks and places to eat and none of them let us down. The outdoor space felt really private and looked out onto the fields. The fire pit and BBQ made eating outside really enjoyable, especially in the evening when the sun started to set because the views were amazing. The toilet and shower are both outside but felt very private and the shower exceeded expectations. The wood fired hot tub was really spacious and got nice and warm and looked out onto the fields. There was plenty of opportunity to look at and meet the animals and we will definitely be back really soon.
Had the best time here. We loved living outdoors in the yurt but with the luxury of the hot tub & cosy beds! We did the farm tour, Tim was very informative & it was really fun for us all. The views are amazing & there are some lovely walks from the door step. We also didn't have to rush out on Sunday which extended our stay & made it more relaxing. This is our second trip & will definitely be back.
Absolutely loved the Wensleydale Farm Experience with Tim. We were able to book the tour (and the Dovecote cottage - photo below) on short notice and it was such a memorable experience. From the minute we contacted Tim we knew we picked the right place. Tim provided so much insight & knowledge about the area, farming and the animals. It was a wonderful, fun morning on the farm and a super relaxing stay. Really great all around.
