A 85-foot-long sculpture of a bronze humpback whale, situated on the Aberavon Seafront in South Wales, created by Welsh artist Annette Baron, featuring a striking design with undulating curves and a polished bronze surface that reflects the surrounding environment, serving as a popular spot for photos and a symbol of the region's connection to the sea.
the kids have always enjoyed playing on the whale. its a nice area with a fitness area in the sunken gardens encouraging kids (and adults) to keep fit
Nice place to have a walk and a very sandy beach
A fantastic place to visit. We walked from the Afon Estuary to the Neath Estuary and back. We climed over the dunes and experienced the mist spectacular views of TATA Steelworks and other industrial companies in Port Talbot. Its well worth a visit, even if its raining. Loved it!
My wife had always wanted to go whale watching so we travelled across from London to the beach in Port Talbot. So pleased we saw one on the surface before it dived down for feeding plus we saw some penguins as well. Little disappointed that it seemed quite still and didn't move much but overall pleased to have made the journey and ticked off another item on the bucket list.
Such a big beach but the council need to invest in it like other seaside places. Got so much potential but they have built houses all on car parks so when it's sunny nightmare finding parking. Plus park to small for such a big area and 4 swings really. Splash park they could put 2 one at the other end got loads of space just wasted. Such a shame massive beach with nothing on the prom
Fun for kite flying and scooter friendly, public toilets, dog friendly and ample to enyertain the children. Beach, mini golf, excellent for teaching children how to ride bikes and skate park. Well maintained outdoor area.
