Really interesting and fun stop on our drive. Parking isn't quite where Google maps says, it's on the road which runs behind the castle (entrance is immediately next to the castle driveway). Park on the verge by the old grave years and walk in. Slightly wet underfoot (it was a rainy day) and a lovely adventure for us adults and our nearly 5 year old.
Amazing and beautiful place to visit. A lot of peacocks.
The maze is good fun for kids and adults. The hedges are fairly high but the path is a bit over grown. There is words dotted about the maze. I think it is supposed to be part of a game. When you get in to the centre of the maze. There are words on a sheet of paper on one of the billboards and some of the words are shaded in. On the other billboard there is information about the witch trials. It gives you their names and how they were punished after being found guilty.
Loved the memorial, nice touch . Pity someone has added political banners in and around maze.selfish ,not what this areas for !Disrespectful
I loved the atmosphere of this place but finding the old graveyard isn't the easiest as the stones were covered with overgrown grass. Awesome place though
