Thoresby Courtyard is a charming 18th-century courtyard surrounded by picturesque stone buildings, nestled within the grounds of Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire. The courtyard's tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by its beautifully manicured gardens, featuring vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and meandering walkways. Visitors can explore the courtyard's historic architecture, admire the ornate stone carvings, and discover the many hidden nooks and crannies.
We had a walk a walk around the grounds and then visited the court yard, nice little shops, and the Lansers Museum, which was very good and worth a visit. On the way out, we sat in the sun and had a pint from the Tuck Brewery, which is next door. Very nice pint!
Visited here on a weekend, there were some lovely artisan craft stalls. Nice walk around the park to finish the trip.
Had some tri training here. The lake was beautiful though not usually open to swimmers. Stunning scenery, cafe menu looked good though slightly pricey. Cappucino I had was fine. PS3 parking for the day. Clean facilities.
Lovely place to visit. Beautiful scenery, lovely river for kids and dogs to paddle in. The courtyard has a really nice cafe and interesting shops. 3 pounds for parking. A great, relaxing day out.
Superb place to visit. Brilliant war museum free to enter run by very knowledgeable and friendly volunteers. Beautiful venue for a wedding, with extensive grounds and picturesque spots. Well run on site cafe with tasty offerings of both hot and cold food, superb freshly baked sausage rolls and a selection of homemade style cakes . Well worth a visit !
Visited this beautiful place as my sons had booked a segway experience and this was one of the venues offered. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful plus well maintained and clean. In the courtyard is a lovely cafe, toilets, craft shops and museum. Will definitely return.
