We had a nice walk along the main wall of the reservoir on a Friday evening in July 2022. The water level was very low when we visited. So much so that building remains of a village that the reservoir covered could be seen. The car park is well kept and is currently free, however signs were displayed saying that later this year parking will be subject to a small charge. The sign mentioned buying an annual parking pass for PS30 as a possible future option.
Great circular walk, took us 3 hours to do at a slow pace. Easy enough for children and some great views on the way
Lovely walk not to challenging... check the level of the water .... never seen it so low .... take it easy with the water people
Good 8km / 2 hour walk. Round the reservoir is fairly flat on a good surface, but some of the creeks that join have fairly steep sides - some stepped, others not. The North end of the reservoir walk is over open moorland with a few boggy bits to watch out for, so wellies or proper walking boots recommend.
I sometimes come here before sunrise and take photos of the night sky. Amazing place!
Great walk with the wife, dog and two children. Walked all the way around in just under 3 hours! Well worth the walk!
Good for kids
