This tranquil nature reserve in Hampshire, England, features a beautiful meadow with a variety of wildflowers, including orchids, cowslips, and oxeye daisies. The reserve is home to a range of wildlife, including butterflies, bees, and birds, and offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Visitors can explore the meadow via a network of footpaths, including a wheelchair-accessible route, and enjoy a picnic in the peaceful surroundings. The reserve is also home to a small pond, which attracts dragonflies and damselflies in the summer months.
This is a lovely place to go for a walk, but it can get wet and muddy. It is a good idea to wear boots. Many people choose to walk their dog(s) in this place. ***We visited this place again in June 2022. It is a wonderful spot to look at the birds on the lake.***
A lovely free of charge oasis right in the middle of an urban landscape. Run by volunteers who are very knowledgeable and even there to help you at 30 degrees. A great place to take the kids with plenty shade to hide from the sun. Take your own food/drinks, nothing available on site.
Was really looking forward to visiting, But needs a large amount of work on the paths and maybe relocate the Bird hide.
Great wildlife, well maintained and accessible with great signage on what wildlife is around
Love this place, 2 hides to watch the wildlife from, one up high to see across the water towards the A31 and another waterside. Great place to relax and photograph wildlife. I often come across some of the Tice's Meadow team who are super friendly and willing to help with wildlife spotting
Idea place for bird watching, bug hunting, leaf collection, foraging, runing around: free few hrs out in fresh air with kids
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Hiking
Good for kids
Kid-friendly hikes
Dogs allowed
