What a great morning, take some wellys if you are going as can be quite muddy, fantastic hosts but the alpacas are the stars of the show. Thoroughly enjoyable. Can't wait to do it again.
Was to told to remove this review by the people and so felt threatened and did so now I'm home in my own company I have considered it and thought I'll put this review back up so no one else has to go through what I went through and people should know the shocking truth. I was appalled by the truly abhorrent attitude displayed by the individuals at this establishment. My son, who has very severe disabilities, was simply trying to play on the swings when they shouted at him and then proceeded to yell at us. As a result, my son is now in a state of distress and trauma. I never anticipated such behavior and I attempted to walk away, only to be met with continued aggression and attempts to harm us. I urge others not to patronize this business and to seek out more respectful and compassionate alternatives. Do not wnat anyone else to experience what me and my family experienced and honestly it ruined my whole holiday!!!!! I was so devastated.also when the owner and his wife had repeatedly shouted at me and and my family we were disturbed and wanted ti go back home to our lodge we was stayed for a couple nights, the owner had then said to put in our faces that he knows the owner of our lodge, not sure what this meant but if felt like a threat, as if if he wanted to get us kicked out from the lodge next door as well !! He also did end up talking to him and outing in such a bad word about us absolutely a holiday from hell. Not really sure why the ownerrs are accusing us of raxual abuse when we were the that ones that got slagged of from you guys after trying to leave because we are brown and then accused us of not understanding ir knowing english.clearly you guys are in the wring as we received a message from our lodge owner that you admited you was in the wrong and shouldnt have shouted ,now your contradicting yourself ,we were ademnt to call the police but you guys hesitated cuz you knew you was in the wrong and yes please show the cctv footage of our son crying and you constantly abusing us,would love to see how you guys are going off on us as if we didnt try to walk away after apologising you guts had to keep saying how stupid and thick we were and conitied to racially abuse us jist because of ghe xolour of our skin. And what is deeply concerning is that other people have commented about the awful experience based on the ugly attitude and them shouting at their customers so if you want to get your kids and family upset and broken please don't hesitate to bring them to this horrible establishment.
We loved it today. Our alpacas were Archie and Colin. I walked Colin who was the youngest alpaca. At first, I was a little bit nervous, but after 5 minutes I felt quite at ease. Very informative owners, we learnt lots of things about alpacas. A great experience and a very pleasant morning, with an added bonus of lots of butterflies in the hedgerows on the walk. You get to feed the alpacas at the end, which was fun. There are great gifts to buy made from alpaca wool from the alpacas here, and with each item you know whose wool it is. I recommend putting mobile data on your phone if you have the balance to pay online or alternatively take cash. Wear wellies if it's been raining, plus you may go through some longer grass on the walk. Take a little picnic or drinks as there are a couple of picnic benches you can use and you don't have to rush off. Highly recommended as an experience
Absolutely beautiful place. The tent was clean and tidy as were the toilets, the alpacas were adorable and the site was quiet even though we were surrounded by alpacas and all the tents were being used. There is a little park and you are given some food to feed the alpacas which my little girl loved. We used the firepit and gas fire which both were spot and the site was dotted with solar lights so we could find the loos in the night. Only thing I would recommend is there being a table of sorts to put things on you've brought like plates and cups etc so it's not on the floor, but other than that it was perfect x
A brilliant experience. Alpacas a delight to walk with and so gentle. Dean and Karen make it all easy with there experience with them. A great time for all ages
This is an absolutely amazing place if you want a quiet peaceful evening in the middle of a field which you share with 3 other tents, Alpachas a horse and two chickens. It is not a place to go if you want to play loud music and have a wild party. The other users during our visit were quiet and respectful, and their children were well behaved, respectful of the animals and clearly enjoying their night out with nature, which in turn enabled us to have an enjoyable evening. We have been several times already and will certainly be back next year. Highly recommend it!
