A scenic valley in the Peak District National Park, surrounded by lush greenery and rolling hills, offering picturesque views, tranquil atmosphere, and opportunities for hiking and exploration.
We love this gem of a place. Not too far to walk. But also not a straight path so crossing streams to reach the waterfalls. There was only us there. We sat for hours taking in the beauty of these woodlands and the two waterfalls. Parked on the street and entrance very easy to see.
Can be a tricky place to find and get to. Do not follow the sat nav up the path, you will get stuck. Nice little forest walk to the waterfalls, you just need to be careful to find it. But once you find out, it's amazing.
A brilliant walk, absolutely beautiful views that you can create future albums that will dance together like a forever changing season. Truly is an amazing afternoon vacation. Don't forget your camera well let's be realistic, phone, shshsh please and leave them with a silent notification so we can all admire this beautiful uninterrupted view into a photo of an absolutely stunning afternoon vacations.
Brilliant dog walking spot easy to get to.
A really nice little stroll in a very pleasent spot. Plenty of paths to take to the waterfall and surrounding woods and some nice little picnic spots. The waterfall and stream water was crystal clear when we went and paddled for an hour while having a picnic bit there was a little litter left over by some visitors and the place was quite busy with maybe 20 people passing through in an hour. This is also a really nice alternative route up to the top of the pike or across Rivington. Parking available along the roadside and limited parking along the wooded path leading into the woods itself, maybe 4 cars total.
There were 2 waterfalls at this location that are pretty much next to each other. The route to the waterfalls is not sign posted so I found it difficult to locate as I had young children with me. I had to cross the stream 3 times using stepping stones. When I eventually reached the waterfalls it was well worth it. It's a shame that it does not have sign posts.
