Was here to support the festival of steam, had a great time, some lovely engines to see and ride behind, we where exhibitors with the road steam section, Nick the section leader was fantastic and looked after us.
Car park, cafe, steam locos, small museum carriage, loco viewing in works, shop with souvenirs and books, and second-hand bookstalls. And ride through countryside below the Cotswold scarp.
If, like Christopher, you are even slightly daunted by the footbridge you should ask a friendly volunteer who will gladly guide you over the flat track crossing. The same applies at Winchcombe. If the step up onto the railway carriage looks even a little bit too much for you, again, ask a volunteer and a ramp will appear. Christopher loved his visit and added "My only gripe is getting over the rail bridge at Toddington, when slightly disabled. I personally found it difficult"
Took daughter and our four grandchildren. Ages 10 down to 2. All had an excellent time riding the trains from Toddington to Cheltenham Racecourse and then to Winchcombe where good range of crafting activities had been laid on. Suited to all their ages and genders. Free but we made a donation. Then Toddington for lunch; the new cafe menu could have been a little more child suitable but everyone found something they would eat. Then on to Broadway and finally back to Toddington to have ice creams, visit the shop and the playground. Staff and volunteers very helpful and friendly, explaining and answering well the grandchildrens questions. A good day out ending with exhausted grandparents and happy bit tired children. Good value. Thank you.
Not busy at Toddington, Rover Ticket cost PS26.00 each. Pleasant and efficient staff and volunteers. Nice railway.
