Tollesbury Wick is a small village in Essex, England, situated approximately 5 miles south of Maldon. The village is surrounded by rolling countryside and farmland, offering scenic views and walks. The village itself has a few old cottages, a church, and a village hall, giving it a charming and peaceful atmosphere.
A great walk along the sea wall. Not much going on, just big skies, peace and quiet. Ate a sandwich looking over the estuary, sun shining. About 8km walk, medium going as sea wall topping is earth and grass.
Had a wonderful peaceful walk with the family and dog here. There is plenty of wildlife to see, the smells of the Salt Marshes and the sounds of marina. Hardly came across anybody at all, it was bliss. There is a handy free car park nearby with exceptionally clean toilets.
My absolute favourite location in Essex for Family Photography. Tollesbury offers the most picturesque backgrounds, with the old boat sheds, marshes and the red lighthouse boat. This location is quiet and peaceful, we were almost all alone during the whole session. I cannot wait to go back there with my next client.
I love walking along the sea wall from one side of Tollesbury to the other. It takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hrs but the views are great! Love to finish off with a snack in The Loft, one of my absolute favourite cafes. I would highly recommend this for a chilled, relaxing walk
Hidden gem. Superb walks from the marina out to the estuary and coast. Nice pub lunch on the wall back. Nice warm sunny day but not too busy with walkers or in the pub. Great for dog owners.
Walked the circular route around the marshes. You need binoculars if you want a good view of the birds, but with the naked eye we saw herons, egrets, oyster catchers, ducks and gulls. It's a beautiful walk, around 5 miles. Parking is free near the marina, just outside of the town.
