Late-1600s building, now a museum with maritime displays, wildlife exhibits & period decor.
So friendly and brilliant museum with Topsham's history and heritage. Gorgeous gardens too. Had a lovely cuppa cha as well.
A lovely little hidden treasure of a museum. We spent a really interesting couple of hours there. And even though we're fairly local there was a lot to discover about Topsham and its history. Good children's section too. Welcoming and helpful staff. A delightful garden and cafe. A good gift shop too. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Visited Topsham Museum & Tea Room recently. I had the small cream tea which cost PS5.00 and was absolutely delicious. This must be one of the best value cream teas around. Then toured the museum, very engaging and knowledgeable staff on hand. Well worth a half day visit
How could you give less than 5 stars. Pretty garden in a fascinating street and another garden opposite with benches for "chilling'. See view from nearby. Run by lovely devoted volunteers brimming with local info. Full of interesting local exhibits and lifestyle. A charming cafe and creamy icecreams. A joy but check the hours of opening.
My husband and I visited this place while visiting the town, it's a great little place for a visit. Again it's over three floors with a member of staff on each floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are ready to answer any questions you may have about the history of Topsham. We enjoyed our time there immensely.
Super friendly and informative guides, beautiful garden, tasty tea anc cakes and excellent information boards make this a real little must - visit for Topsham. I came with my parents and had a lovely afternoon!
