Not the biggest but it has some nice items like the vintage fire fighter trailer. Gift shop. Tea room and clean toilets. Run by volunteers. Work taking place at moment so call ahead for opening times. Nice staff. Free car park just 4 mins walk away. Some braille books for visually impaired. Walker provided for those who need assistance to move around.
Helpful staff and welcoming. Very interesting collection of items relating to industrial and social history of the local area. Local art gallery. Great half-term activity for children.
Amazing place to visit with lots of Welsh history and amazing helpful staff will be visiting again on our next visit
Small, free museum, went there with husband and teen son. We all enjoyed it, even though it's not a teen's normal hang out! Lots of different exhibits, so there is a huge variety. From details of servants in the big house to a history of local Japan ware to an artist to household goods. Spent about an hour and a half there. Only open two days a week so disappointed there were no cakes for the cafe. We arrived just after they opened and one of the staff said they were collecting them the next day (when they're NOT open) so that was poorly organised and a wasted opportunity for them. Parking is round the back and there is no disabled parking close to the entrance so not great for people with limited mobility. But it's all on one level once you're in, as far as I remember.
I'm sure it's a good place but only being open on Wednesdays 10:00 - 16:00 and Saturdays 1300-1600. What's the point it 9nly being open 9 hours a week? We went on a Tuesday, I know we should have double-checked beforehand.
Free entry, very welcoming staff and lots to see.
