A picturesque beach nestled in a secluded cove, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush green hills. The shore is lined with smooth, white pebbles and crystal-clear turquoise water that gently laps at the shore. The atmosphere is tranquil and serene, perfect for relaxation and sunbathing. At low tide, the beach reveals hidden rock pools and ancient fossils, making it a haven for curious explorers and nature enthusiasts.
One of those beautiful beaches that has the famous 'whistling sands', and a simple cafe at one end. Very beautiful. There is a large National Trust car park and you access the beach down a steep lane, not really suitable for wheelchair access. There is a small cave at one end of the beach and easy access to Welsh coastal path walks. Dogs are not allowed on the beach during the holiday season, so if you're on a walk with a dog you will have to follow the path above the beach to circumvent it. These beaches are clean, the sea is clear and they have to be seen to be believed. Wonderful.
Beautiful Beach. Majority is out of bounds for dogs but does allow dogs on a small small section during summer months. Cafe and toilets available. Peak summer when we visited and perfect weather meant it was very busy. Shallow water and white sands great for the kids. Be aware there is a steep road down to the beach from the car park which could be an issue for wheelchair and disabled access. If you want a beach you can spend the whole day at swimming and relaxing, this is a good option. There's also a number of walking trails around the area with maps of the routes available from the National Trust car park.
The steep hill down the beach should not put you off. This place is amazing. Not too busy. Carpark is free for national trust members and PS5 for all day parking for non members. Cafe served coffees and ice cream. Perfect day out. It's so peaceful and serene here
Beautiful beach. Very busy and crammed in by the shop / cafe with families and people with dogs. If you venture further down the beach it is much better (I have kids too) giving a bit more space. The rock pools are great here. Cafe is ok, service can be slow on busy days. The ice-cream is delicious! They also stock suncream and other bits that you might need. Toilets at the bottom of the hill are not always both working so you can be waiting for 15 minutes+ on a sunny day. I've been coming to this beach for 18 years and still love it. The hill back up to the car park is a killer though, at the end of a long day, all your kit and tired kids. Not for the faint hearted.
A lovely beach, perfect for relaxing. The water is shallow so great for kids (although water was still pretty cold when we visited!). The drier sand at the back of the beach really does squeak when you walk on it. There's a National Trust car park which is PS5 and then a steepish walk down to the beach. There's also a cafe on-site but we didn't visit this. Would recommend.
We were staying in aberdaron and took the short drive out here and so glad we did, beautiful beach very unspoilt a few rock pools and gorgeous expanse of sand. There's a national trust carpark at the top with toilets and a short steep walk down the lane to the beach. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
