A sub-tropical paradise with a coastal backdrop. Open Saturday to Wednesday all year round. The garden is often at capacity, so it is advisable to book to avoid making an unnecessary journey. Booking is simple and can be done easily by clicking the book now button on any page of the website.
Stunning gardens very tropical, absolutely beautiful and easy to navigate with pathways for disabilities down to the small private beach where you can get a ice cream and maybe take in a swim or just chill out on the stunning beach location. A must for anyone who loves visiting gardens Start of in the lovely cafe, shop in the well stocked gift shop and visit some interesting points of history. We spent a good 3 hours here highly recommended.
Beautiful gardens from start to finish. Visited in June and the blue hydrangeas were coming into full bloom. Headed down towards the beach at the bottom & had a picnic and ice cream. Weather fantastic. Walked back up the other side with lots to see including the Amphitheater. All staff friendly and informative. Lots of places to sit along the way with a lovely gift shop and garden centre area on exit. Had a lovely few hours here.
The most beautiful garden with its own private beach. The food in the canteen was amazing and so was the ice cream at the beach. Thank u to all that look after this beautiful garden so the rest of us can enjoy it
Absolutely stunning garden with a historic beach at the bottom. The hydrangeas were magnificent. Very good paths and easier alternatives for those that are less able. We saw a lovely lady who had hired one of the electric scooter thingys which I think made her visit more enjoyable. It was busy but not overly so and we are there on a Saturday. The courtyard garden near the car park was also lovely. Nice restaurant where we had a sandwich, lovely facilities and a nice gift shop. Wasn't a madly expensive entry fee. Really enjoyed our visit.
Oh my goodness this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. PS16 entry but worth every penny. I'm desperate to go back again. A true hidden gem. A lovely little cafe by the entrance and an Ice cream and refreshments shack by the private beach. Two amazing play areas for the kids. A large variety of plants and wildlife to see everywhere. All walkways were tidy and there was even a wheelchair/mobility scooter path available. A lovely little plant shop/garden centre on site too with home grown plants at reasonable prices.
A relaxing family day visit suitable for all. Child and dog friendly. Everything you need is available on site. Gardens lead to a small pretty beach cove with access to coastal walk. Accommodating friendly staff throughout.
