Beautiful gardens and woodland, lovely calm place for a walk
Spent the most wonderful afternoon here. There's so much to see and explore, but the site isn't so massive that you can't see it all in a few hours. However, I could happily spend a day here, just soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. Saw a newt in the ponds, as well as jays and lots of bees and butterflies. On Wednesdays and Sundays the greenhouses are open, and are definitely worth a visit! The staff and volunteers are all incredibly friendly and helpful.
We went here expecting a large garden display, but it wasn't. That said it was free to enter and the forest area is a lovely walk. I wasn't certain why but it seemed like it wasn't open, or a working progress. Certainly worth a visit, but at the moment you'll only spend a short time there.
Lovely place great gardens to walk around
A really lovely walk around the Treborth Botanic Garden today. A real hidden gem of a botanical garden with FREE entry and FREE parking. Just be careful on the approach road with the rather severe speed bumps! A lovely collection of plants and trees, with very interesting landscape features etc. Great to visit in the Spring / Summer months! :)
