Lovely cottages in a great part of Cornwall, with lots to see and do nearby. Marilyn and Lester are super friendly and go above and beyond to help guests. The cottages have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including well- equipped kitchens and nice bathrooms and bedrooms. There's plenty of extras as well, like a playroom and playground, as well as beach items you can borrow. Don't miss the goats and chickens! We've stayed here multiple times over the years and it's always wonderful.
Tregolls offers the perfect peaceful farm stay with everything you could need whilst away. I first stayed at Tregolls in 1996 but this was my first time staying in the self-catering cottages. Blackberry was incredibly clean and comfortable with great views of the valley, and Marilyn and Lester are friendly and helpful hosts. There are plenty of extra touches for every eventuality but my favourite is the baby goats - so sweet!
We stayed for a week in Honeysuckle (myself, husband Colin and Children, Harry (11) and Poppy (8). As soon as we stepped into the cottage we new we were going to have a fabulous stay. It was immaculately clean, everything catered for (even tin foil / clingfilm, washing up liquid/sponge and bin bags) - we know now, not to over pack such items. The local freshly baked scones, clotted cream, jam, milk and tea provided for our arrival was a lovely touch - so much so Harry craves these on our return - we just can't get hold of the same clotted cream up in Manchester. Marilyn and Lester are so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The children enjoyed getting up in a morning and running over to pets corner at 9am to feed the lamb and baby goats, petting the guinea pigs and collecting freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Meeting the other families doing the same each morning was lovely - getting tips from each other before everyone headed out for each day's adventures. On return of an evening Harry loved playing pool with his dad in the playroom, whilst I chilled with a glass of wine. We used the BBQ one evening. Prepared picnics to take out each day. The kitchen was superbly equipped. The furnishings are to a high standard. Powerful shower, which remained hot for us all each night. The bedding an beds are excellent and the washing machine / dryer in the out building were a god send after every day being spent on a beach. The location of these cottages is quaint, peaceful, safe for young children to play out in the play area/garden at the back of the 4 properties (little ones enjoying meeting up with each other of an evening to play). At Tregolls you aren't far from anywhere in Cornwall - we like to venture to places we haven't been before - south coast / west coast - everywhere is easy to get to in a car. We are returning again in August 2024, and have also booked again for August 2025 - along with my sister and her family who are staying in Blackberry. Can not wait to return and can not rate everything about Tregolls high enough - if there was an 11 out of 10 I would give it!!! FABULOUS!
An absolutely wonderful experience. The home was very clean and tidy, providing us a comfortable space to relax in. Thank you Marilyn for your homeliness and a very sweet welcome with the scones!
Tregolls Farm is a great way to relax if you so wish. It has something for everyone. Games room and toys for the smaller visitor and pool table and darts for the older visitor. BBQ area. Cottages are well equipped with everything you need but don't normally get elsewhere. Stunning views, great walks and such a lovely welcome from the hosts Marilyn and Lester. It was a return visit for us, already organised next year's we stayed in Blackberry, which is huge., the biggest, so great for family or friends. Planning to stay in Rose next year which is all on one level, and has a private, secure garden. All in all, cannot rate Tregolls Farm high enough. Heaven here on earth.
Beautiful place, spotless, comfortable and very friendly. Children loved feeding the animals in the mornings and playing on the climbing frame in the top field. Everything you need is in the cottage and perfect location.
