Museum about life in the fishing quarter of King's Lynn, with fishermen's cottages and a smokehouse.
Fantastic museum detailing the history of the fishing industry in King's Lynn. Two preserved cottages showing how people of the day lived. Delightful tea room offering home made sandwiches and cakes. Highly recommended.
This is a really interesting museum with much local history in words, pictures and artefacts. The old fishermen's cottages are fascinating and you can finish your visit with a lovely cup of tea and a piece of delicious farmhouse cake. The staff are helpful, and knowledgeable and happy to help I& required. If you're on Kings Lynn, don't miss it. Thank you.
A nice little museum with some very interesting displays about King's Lynn fishing history. I did find a few of the displays could have been a bit more developed though. Very helpful volunteers as well.
Ship models, personal stories and artifacts from this neighbourhood of fisherfolk in early times. Artwork is on display in the old smithy. Cottages at the rear display how people lived. There's also a smokehouse and restored fishing vessel. Plus a tea room and gift shop. Worth a visit.
Hidden gem such a great find. A warmer friendly welcome by staff you would struggle to find. They could not ave been more helpful to satisfy all of my requests. Plus fabulous cake and tea shop.
I love visiting museums. This is a small one but there is a lot to see and read. The history of Kings lynn is portrayed through out this museum.I could spend all day just wandering around looking and reading about Kings lynn. Don't hurry round this museum there really is a lot to see. Highly recommended.
