Historic visitor attraction, beach with tidal pool and stunning beach front wedding venue with self catering accommodation.
Absolutely loved this place and if it had a sandy beach it would be heaven on earth. Had a lovely time even got soaked when taking a few photos and videos. Water was clear and the beach area was tidy.
Great bit of history in beautiful surroundings. Very well kept, tidy. Toilets and changing facilities near the ladies beach. No showers.Gentleman's beach is not always open due to weddings. There is a cafe with some hot and cold food and bits and bobs. Clean beach and water with nice tidal pools.
Second time visiting here. Came here in early July. There's a small entrance fee of PS3.75 but it's pretty quiet when we went and it's quite unusual with the tidal pool so we didn't mind paying the fee. Luckily the ladies beach was open (normally weddings are there) and it looked beautiful with the plants and aqua blue waters. The tidal pool is fun to walk around if you have good balance. The water was cold but a few people tried to swim in it. Relaxing cove with interesting aspects about it. Cafe, toilets, deck chair hire and museum included which makes the visit more comfortable. Highly recommended
Amazing place, great facilities, toilets and a small coffee shop, wedding venue so part of the beach might be closed to public, but it doesn't affect anyone. Reasonable entry fee, shops nearby if you need supplies. We parked in the national park free parking, approx 10 min away, but there's lots on street free parking available.
This is a wedding photographers dream venue! I love the uniqueness of its setting and how the spaces inside and out provide the perfect backdrop to the ocean. Outside ceremonies are superb! Great team who make sure everything is on point for the day's celebration and couples can arrange to have their preparations in Bath House or the Courtyard apartments. With access to the beach when the tide is out it gets even better in the evening when it is closed to the general public and you have the place all to yourself in the evening, meaning if you do get lucky with the weather it's one of the best golden hour and sunset spots around! Super atmosphere for a party into the evening as well. Can't wait to go back! Here's a few frames from a Springtime wedding.
The location of this venue makes it special. We enjoyed our visit there as wedding guests where clearly the organisation had gone to great lengths to ensure all enjoyed the celebration. Spread over 3 floors the facilities are unique
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
