We camped. Lovely site. |Great facilities. Very clean toilet and shower block with plenty of showers/toilets. Our own electric hook up with water tap.| Lots of activities for the children to do. Older teenagers might be a bit bored as mine were they thought everything was aimed at toddlers. Great cinema with the latest films on. Very packed out evening entertainment room, can't get any seats if you arrive at 8.00. You need to be there at 6.00 ok if you have toddlers. We never got a look in at all. |Maybe a big field would be good for football or space for cricket etc. ||Overall very nice|Clean|Lots to do for younger children|Restaurant nice|You might need to go somewhere for the 14+ as they might get fed up with the cinema every night.
Lovely walk to Woolacombe Beach through National Trust owned path. Good facilities, even a sauna and steam room in the toilet and shower block for the campers! Good outdoor pool, indoor pool has slides and decent menu for adults and kids at the bar and restaurant areas. Well stocked shop on site. Nice 15-20minute walk to neighbouring Woolacombe Bay resort if it's nice weather. We went early July for the weekend before the resort hit peak summer holidays...
Well travelled campers! By far one of the best sites I've ever been too! Pitches with electric decent size. Water tap on the pitch. I had a grass base pitch with electric. Toilets and showers spotless at any time during the day! Pool fantastic. Entertainment superb. Access to the other sites too! Excellent trip and this time we used the cinema on site. Excellent value for money. 2nd year in a row coming back. Will be back next year
The place is amazing so much to do! Close to so many things to do. Our kids absolutely loved everything. The caravan was lovely and clean and really well set out. |Down points- bar is poorly stocked not much choice. |Restaurant is the same menu, we only went for 5 days had no intention to cook, ended up having to go other places as menu was very limited and cooking ||There is so much to do that in the 5 days we didn't get to do everything. Bit of a bugger having to book some activities before hand and some activities are a little expensive for what they are but on the whole worth the money. ||We will be booking next year for a longer stay! ||FYI pushchairs/ wheelchair/ disabled. The hills are huge! Bit of a bugger after a few beers
Every member of staff were the friendliest and most helpful we have ever encountered at a holiday park. The kids entertainment is pretty good too. Great facilities and the cinema is excellent. Would go back with or without the kids. Local area is beautiful.
We've just returned from 3 nights at Twitchen. We shall start with the positives, The actual park is 5 star, it's clean with brilliant facilities and plenty to do, within 30 mins you can walk to Woolacombe (signage needs improving as the sign on the path takes you to the beach), the kids had the best time swimming in both pools and staff were friendly and helpful.||Now the negatives and there are a few, firstly the park seems like it's outgrown the facilities. The evening entertainment was impossible to get a seat due to the amount of people so we gave up, the caravan whilst clean had trims which kept falling off and the shower head that kept falling down, the lack of WiFi is a blessing but a curse as you struggle to order food or book swimming, finally though and by far the biggest irritation were people. We were situated near the outdoor pool and due to it being a nifty cut through to the outdoor pool and main venue you had people passing by at all hours, you can take the noise from down there and it's quite nice to see people having fun but unfortunately on all nights had people returning to their spots passing our caravans shouting and screaming, the worst night being Sunday, called security and to be fair they came up 15 mins later when they cleared off. Came home as a family of 4 today tired due to 3 poor nights sleep.||Other than the people issue, it's been the best weekend but my gosh my own sofa feels nice!
