Lovely walk up from the estate car park. Beautiful day, great views from the top. Very tasty lunch outdoors at the cafe on our descent. Will return and visit the waterfall next time.
Great walk to the Monument. Easy trek following the burn then onto woodland walks
It's a big stone monument alright. But seriously, this is a lovely short walk from a number of nearby carparks. We'd parked by the pillars of Hercules farm shop and with a 3 year old it was an hour up and maybe 40 mins back downhill. Lovely views up at the hill all around you and a great spot for a wee picnic on a good day. Well worth a nice relaxing wander up. There's a lot of other trails around here too that you can link in to longer walk if you fancy it.
Nice woodlands.. Perfect for a walk and relax.
Had lunch here. Lovely view of hill and surrounding area. Great monument, sing inside and entertain those outside
One of the pleasures of visiting Mapsie Den is the walk up to The Tyndal Bruce Monument. On a farm track with a steady gradient from the entrance to Mapsie Den the track skirts the Den past estate cottages .Not more than a mile away it is worth it for the panoramic views over the Eden valley to Auchtermuchty and the East Lomond
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
