A small sized museum in Ullapool with a great lot of reading about the town and local areas history with some local writings from the times as well.
A small museum that can be particularly interesting from a theological point of view. It is located in an old church building: only a few of this type still exist. However, the history of the village is presented in general.
This museum has been such a wonderful source of information over many years. The team are so supportive. We met the lovely Chrissy here this time and she was truly interesting.
Good way to spend 20 minutes. Great place if your family originated from here as there are many records
It's a remarkable cute museum you should definitely visit
This museum focuses on the people, places and history of the greater Loch Broom area in wester Ross. Even the building is historic as it was the first church in the village and is largely unchanged since its inception as a church of Scotland place of worship. Its not a big museum but the exhibits , pictures and stories are easily relatable. Fishing, farming , yachting and the terrible clearances are well documented, as well as post modern Ullapool. Staff very friendly without being overbearing. I loved this museum
