It was our first visit to the Play Barn today and we were very impressed. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown round. The play area was clean and tidy, and although my little girl isn't yet walking, she could use the soft play and sand pit (free of charge for under 1s!) The cafe was quiet and spacious, and it was a very enjoyable experience all round! The weather was miserable today, but there is also an outdoor playground and a small number of animals to see.
Only come to this place if you want to have some chill out time with friends and family. All of a sudden a field on Umberslade estate becomes a place of nice non-confronting sounds, children playing the sound of a train that is not too far away. The coffee shop and Pizza barn are a chill free zone. The pizza are delicious. The music pipe at you is so nice. I can only imagine that this place is one busy place on those sunny warm days. Sometimes you have to let others know of your gems.
Great place to take the family for half a day. Nice big field for camping, if you're into that. There's a cafe and pizza restaurant if your hungry, thought there plenty of benches if you want to bring your own food. There's a small farm that has goats, chicken, sheep, lampas, pigs and horses which kids will thoroughly enjoy.
Their cafe serves great cakes and good coffee. Cosy and warm cafe in the winter. Great walking and a useful stopover in a bike ride. A lovely rural setting just outside Solihull. Some ducks, goats and chickens for kids to see. Pizza's are back at weekends in the summer until September.
Love the forest school, animals, play barn, playground, cafe and pizza barn here. Such a lovely place to visit with the kids. We come regularly. There is a parking charge now but it doesn't apply if you're spending any money ie using the cafe, pizza barn, play barn etc :)
We went camping for the bank holiday weekend. The camping field is lovely, and the facilities are clean and modern. There were only two showers for the campsite so had to queue at times, and there needs to be more bins with options for recycling. That said, the bins were emptied daily and the site was very clean and well cared for. There is a steam train which passes a couple of times a day which was lovely.. The kids loved the park area and we all enjoyed pizzas from the pizza barn, and coffees and pastries from the coffee shop in the morning. If you want a peaceful getaway in the countryside this is a perfect place. There was WiFi in the cafe but not in the camping field. It's all very dog friendly with a footpath/track to walk the dogs on.
