A gorgeous place to relax and brilliant location for a picnic on a sunny day. If you are up for the challenge there is a 6 mile Trek through the woodland fields that take you to Nun Monkton or plenty of areas for private fishing
It's hard to give a proper review of a memorial but the views from the benches looking up the river are wonderful and relaxing. You can park right next to the memorial in a small layby for 2 to 3 cars. The benches are in full sun for most of the day so be careful on really hot and sunny days.
