Upside Down House(tm) is the UK's first inverted experience. Walk on the ceiling, reach for the coffee table and take unbelievable photos to share on social media with your friends and family. A great day out for the family to get as creative as possible, whether you are into photography or not, you will be able to take unique photos with poses you cannot capture elsewhere.
We came here on our holiday, Entrance fee is PS4 per person, you get NHS discounts but not other emergency services... We paid PS8 for us both to go in which in my opinion its worth PS2 per person. When we got in there it was empty downstairs which was nice to taken photos, the floor is uneasy which it gives you a warning before you enter about the uneasy floor. Loved that all the furniture was on the ceiling and the photos were brilliant. Upstairs was also good, There is cameras saying not to hang to swing on anything. My only thing was whilst myself and my husband were there, there were 2 children unsupervised running up and down and sliding all over the place. As we and other customers were trying to take photos there were running everywhere, their grownups were nowhere to be seen, the cameras would of caught them but no staff came in to tell them to stop. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.
From the outside it looked very cool. It was PS4 per person to go in. When I went in, it was quite cool for the first 30 seconds, then it was just a drag for me. I couldn't wait to get back out... but I went with my family, so I had to let them take their pics before I left with them. The floor (or should I say "ceiling" wasn't level too, so as you walk, you tend to get out of balance. What your eye see's and what you body feels is in two different worlds! It was smaller than expected. Downstairs was just a hallway and bathroom. Upstairs was just a bedroom with some sofas, and a mini kitchen in the corner. The house seemed incomplete, so it didn't actually feel like a house that we walked into. The idea is nice, but the pricing was way too high for the experience.
An interesting stop off as we approached Clacton Pier. Kids wanted to go in, tbf, I wasn't too bothered, but still enjoyed it and we took some cool pics. A ticket for a family of four was PS14, The experience lasted about fifteen minutes. Probably could do with being cheaper tbh, would only do once
Despite the bad reviews, I can assure you that when I visited, it was clean ( I've been there several times as every time we are with other friends and they want to go in). If people knew to behave and throw their rubbish in a designated area, nobody would find rubbish inside the UpsideDown house. Is everywhere written not to run, jump, etc, inside, but everybody leaves their children to do whatever they want there. Learn to behave, and then you'll enjoy the visit without complaining about the price.
As an adult this is not worth the PS4 admission. It's two rooms with furniture nailed to the ceiling. That said my toddler was blown away and loved it and anything that makes him smile and laugh is worth it to me.
Gave 1 star as I had to give something was shocking. Waste of time and money. Was in less then 5 min. Don't bother PS15 wasted
Good for kids
