This 14-acre woodland park features a variety of trees, including oak, beech, and silver birch, as well as a carpet of bluebells in the spring. A network of walking trails, including the popular Valleyfield Heritage Trail, crisscross the park, offering scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, squirrels, and rabbits, and features several picnic areas and a children's play area.
Nice place for a peaceful walk. You can walk in from the village or use the parking at entrance or within. Lots of little bridges and a small orchard. Free to enter and walk about. Saw lots of dog walking here so come early if you want piece and quiet.
February is a good time to visit. The Snowdrop Festival is running all month and the snowdrops are amazing... millions of them.
Lovely woodland park featuring a community orchard planted and maintained by volunteers. Various types of apple trees, pear trees and plum trees including heritage varieties. Also featuring a Riding school for disabled children who are currently looking for more volunteers
1st visit here - only found it by chance despite passing through the area for years. Really nice woodland walk - easy gradients and paths all easy to follow. Will be back to do the longer walk at some point. Also interesting history of the house that once stood there and it's links to Preston Island.
