A lovely park with wonderful sights, the benches are very nice to sit in on a hot sunny day! The stairs are quite steep but that's okay, it's still a wonderful place. the fountain is nice to see but it's not got too much water in it, maybe that's the weather though

Nice place for a short walk ,it's a nice park and clean.
We as a group of mobility scooter uses had a meet up to decide how the group@houseboundtooscooting was growing and discussed in the lovely surrounds of this beautiful but much forgotten little gem in stockport. There was only one place we couldn't take the scooters but it was only a short walk, down a few steps with railings and a few yards to the seating round, near the well used cafe, be prepared on nice weekends for a queue. We had a lovely couple of hours in this park and the car park is just to the side through woodbank gates, I drove and took my walker an easy little walk to the cafe area with a slight incline at the end.
Spent a nice sunny Sunday morning here and had a really good time. Our dog was absolutely enjoying the space! We unfortunately didn't find an accessible path down to the river so that was a disappointment, but I'm hoping to be able to go down to the river the next time around. Definitely recommend a visit to the park. It's very well kept and serene.
Had a nice little family stroll round here. It's a shame the paths down to the river are blocked off but other than that it was a good walk. Nice water feature near the bottom and a maze that kids loved running around and burning off energy in. There is a bandstand which was great to see. Public toilets are downstairs in the museum at the top of the park where you will also find a little shop selling T-shirt's, sweaters, bags, planters etc a lot of which is made on site.
